This is a starter privacy policy based on the current DrStudy development features. It must be reviewed, completed with real business contact information, and checked by a qualified legal professional before public launch.
Overview
This policy explains the types of information DrStudy may process, why that information is used, and the choices available to users. DrStudy is a study-support platform and is not intended to store patient medical records or provide healthcare services.
Information DrStudy may collect
- Account information such as your email address, user ID, and profile name.
- Study files that you choose to upload to your Library.
- AI Tutor prompts, generated responses, quizzes, flashcards, and other study activity.
- Notification preferences such as reminder status, reminder time, and timezone.
- Basic technical information needed to operate, protect, and troubleshoot the service.
How information is used
- To authenticate your account and keep your data connected to the correct user.
- To provide AI-assisted study tools and process files you choose to upload.
- To save your preferences and send notifications you enable.
- To maintain security, prevent misuse, diagnose errors, and improve DrStudy.
Service providers
- DrStudy currently relies on third-party services for authentication, database storage, file storage, AI processing, hosting, and email delivery.
- Those providers process information according to their own terms and privacy practices.
- Before public launch, this section should name every production provider actually used by DrStudy.
Data choices and deletion
- You can delete Library documents and clear locally saved AI Tutor conversation history from available controls.
- You can turn study reminders and other optional notifications on or off.
- A complete account-deletion request process should be added before public launch.
Security
- DrStudy uses authenticated accounts and database access rules to restrict user data.
- No online service can guarantee absolute security.
- Do not upload patient records, protected health information, confidential clinical data, or other information you are not authorized to share.
